We are going to have a manifold cooking tour. It will be a one day tour where we will visit some interesting places, and then cook our lunches using our cars! We will be publishing recipes in each month's QT leading up to the event so you can plan your meal.
We will leave the Cracker Barrel in Arlington,Texas at 9 AM. We are leaving from the Cracker Barrel at the intersection of I-20 and Bowen Rd. (Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, 4300 S Bowen Rd, Arlington, TX 76016). If you would like to eat breakfast together at 8 AM, we will eat and then start our days adventure. After breakfast, we will go and visit the DFW Elite Toy Museum, a museum that has an impressive display of both toys, and cars. This is perhaps the largest toy museum in the country with many of the toys being automotive toys. There is also a large collection of automotive art.
After visiting the toy museum, our plan is to go and watch an Imax film located in the Omni at the Ft Worth Museum of Science and History.(The Omni is currently closed until June 25, 2021 so this is still tentative). After watching the movie we will prep our lunches then drive about 45 minutes while our lunches cook, then we will stop and enjoy our feast.Look for registration forms and more information in upcoming QT‘s.

Pilot Point, Texas, was the location of the filming of the famous bank robbery scene in the 1968 movie, Bonnie and Clyde, starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Additionally, Pilot Point (and neighboring towns and counties) were actually the stomping-grounds of Bonnie and Clyde and their cohorts, as well as other well-known outlaws including the James Gang, the Younger Brothers, Quantrill’s Raiders and others. The Festival is hosted by Pilot Point’s Main Street Program.

Come celebrate new members and new cars. If you have an A that is new to you within the last 24 months, come bring it and showcase it at the second annual Debutante Ball hosted by Arlen and Trish Evans. New to you does not have to be a fresh restoration, just a car that is new to the club. If you are a new or old member, come out and enjoy an event that will be a great time for all. The cars (Debs) will need to arrive at 11:00 am, so we can get them covered up; party will start at noon. If you have a car cover, please bring it. We will cover up the cars upon arrival and then we will reveal while you talk about your car, We’ll want to know how you came to acquire it or any other fun fact you know about it. After all the Debs have been presented, we will finish it off with a toast to officially welcome all of the Debs into the club.
If you are bringing a Deb, we will have trailer parking if needed. No Model A function would be complete without food, so of course there will be lunch. You will not go hungry because we have a great lunch lined up. We would love to fill the neighborhood with A’s to let the neighbors know the Evans have arrived, so everyone drive you’re A’s.
